I thought I would take a second to share some of the great music shuffling through my iPod….

Asking for Flowers

Kathleen Edwards, Asking for Flowers

Amazing lyrics and such a unique voice.  Listen to this when you have time to really listen to the lyrics.

Magic

Bruce Springsteen, Magic

Roll down the windows and turn up the first track “Radio Nowhere”….

Once

The Soundtrack from the Movie, Once.

While watching the movie, Once, I fell in love with The Frames lead singer, Glen Hansard and his co-hort, Marketa Irglova.  The movie itself is wonderful, but the music puts it over the top.  The harmonies these two come up with are amazing and can at times give you chills.  I was excited to find that when not with The Frams, Hansard has a side project wtih Irglova called The Swell Season which will actually be touring this Spring/Summer. If you enjoy beautiful piano playing with beautiful harmonies, you’ll love this!

Places

Georgie James, Places

I can’t seem to get enough of this album.  I had always heard great things about this local DC band, but fell in love with them after seeing a show at The Black Cat.  Personally, I’m a fan of “Long Week” and like to belt it out….especially in the car!
